My son's teachers have been wonderful. Thankyou mrs. Crawford and ms. Chomiak! We have been blessed having you involved in our son's education. One thing I don't like is how the children have to wait outside until 7:50 am to be let in the building. When I went to school the buildings were opened up like around 7:00am.

This is by far the best school I could ask for! The teachers are awsome, the school is nice and clean, and they really care about the children's education.

I had no idea how fed up with homework my child could be. It is unreal the amount they have and only being in 3rd grade taking at least 2 to 3 hours to do it each night. We help him after a long day at work . Everyone is so tired. I agree, these benchmarks and other tests come before the children. It shouldn't be like that. . The kids don't even get a chance to play. It's do homework, eat dinner, go back to homework, bathe, and then bed which is usually quite late at this time. Learning is supposed to fun not just work. You will get a lot more from a child praising them than putting them down..I am so afraid my son will be held back this year due to the problems with reading and understanding what he has read. It effects his reading & math.

I had more problems than I can tell you with this school. Like another person said I am teaching my daughter who is in 1st grade more than they are I think. Forget trying to get help if your child is behind with will take half the year to get it.

Miss Greer Rocks! She is an awsome teacher, but become more than that to my child. She became someone my child respected because Ms. Greer respected my child. I don't know what it's like in other schools, but the lunch period is too short. We are excited to see who we'll be getting as a 1st grade teacher and pray we get as much out of our second year at Walker as we did the first.

Thank goodness my kindergartener got a great teacher! Miss Wagers was wonderful. We had a few problems with discipline. I had a lot of questions about the Gifted and Talented program my child was in, but I couldn't get ahold of the person in charge of that. I would get e-mailed promises that she would call me and no call came through. The front desk and nurse are WONDERFUL. The food leaves a lot to be desired in terms of nutrition as well as taste. I'm glad we're rezoned next year.

I have been extremely disappointed in the education that my child who is in the 4th grade is receiving at Walker. Although she is always on the honor roll (either the Principal or A/B), she has learned absolutely nothing the entire school year except what I have had to teach her myself. I will be spending the summer teaching her what her teachers didn't all year so that she can be on par with other 4th graders at other schools. I have found that academically she has digressed tremendously since being at Walker and am looking to find a private school that she can attend so that she can get the education that she deserves!

It is still early in this school year and I am impressed on how much the teachers care about the children learning. One of my children are in kindergarden at Walker. Everyday she comes home singing a new song on something that she has learned in class. My son has been tested this year for the horizon program. I also like the payout of the classes and the children have two teachers that help them learn. the school encourage parent involvement. I have decided to join PTO and be a homeroom parent

I am not impressed with this school at all. The teachers and principal seem more worried about the TAKS tests than the students. The teachers and staff act like they are in a clique and when you visit the school to pick up a child or for lunch with your child... you feel as though you are looked down on. I believe many other Day cares are doing better art work than the 3rd graders in this school. The homework is a joke.
